Commitment #1: Taking Radical Responsibility

I commit to taking full responsibility for the circumstances of my life—and for my physical, mental, and emotional well-being. I also commit to supporting others as they take full responsibility for their own lives.

The Line

I commit to blaming others and myself for what is wrong in the world. I commit to being a victim, villain, or a hero and taking more or less than 100% responsibility.

Where are you at? Above the line or below the line?

Cue Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life.” (Sorry if it’s stuck in your head now—but honestly, that’s kind of the point.) You can either own the change you want to see in your life and in the world, or you can blame and shame others for what you think isn’t working. Radical Responsibility means choosing the first path—and it’s a big deal.

At Aysnd, we know this company is 100% our responsibility. That means how we show up for our clients, how we deliver on our promises, and how we lead with purpose is on us. We do our best to be great employers—offering fair wages, meaningful work, and a healthy culture.

But we also understand this: we are not responsible for other people’s perceptions. Our clients and teammates have their own perspectives, needs, and experiences. We listen. We reflect. We learn. And every day, we strive to do better.

Mel Robbins’ Let Them Theory struck a nerve. Her book became the most successful nonfiction launch in history, selling over 1.2 million copies in just one month. Why? Because the message resonates: let people be who they are. Let them do what they’re going to do.

The real power, though, lies in the second part of her framework: Let Me.
Let me focus on what I can control. Let me stay grounded in my own agency. Let me show up with intention, no matter what’s happening around me.

“Let Me” is Radical Responsibility.
And when we lead from that place—individually and collectively—we create space for trust, growth, and meaningful change.
